The Shooter (1997)

Cast:Michael Dudikoff,Randy Travis,Andrew Stevens,Valerie Wildman

Trouble starts when Dudikoff shoots a outlaw who is whipping a whore,  the man in the process and the family wants vengeance so Dudikoff is captured and tortured while Travis has a  personal vendetta with the famous shooter to settle in this well made and quite enjoyable western that stands as one of Dudikoff's better efforts.

Of all things Michael Dudikoff is a much more talented actionstar then his competition from other B-grade action stars like Lorenzo Lamas, Jeff Speakman and Olivier Gruner for one Dudikoff is always trying something new and for that he also plays a good stoic hero which a western of this caliber needs.
The Shooter in particular is another good effort from Dudikoff because it actually has some good production values as well as some fine acting from a supporting cast which make this a fun throwback to the days of Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson. The action in particular is done with so much style and energy that it's impossible to really dislike, and even for some who don't care for it must admit that this isn't a bad effort here. So yes Michael Dudikoff has made a perfectly decent movie, now if Dudikoff can only make a movie worth seeing more then once. . D.Fred Olen Ray ***
