Sabotage (1996)

Cast:Mark Dacascos, Carrie-Anne Moss, Tony Todd,Graham Greene

Dacascos stars as Michael Bishop an expert bodyguard who finds himself forced to join forces with FBI agent Louise Castle (a pre-Matrix Moss) to take down the bad guys who rubbed out his client in this surprisingly enjoyable if not entirely forgettable thriller.

Indeed the movie is pretty forgettable but for a lonely evening it'll do.  Dacascos and Moss share good chemistry and Todd makes quite an effective villian plus the production values are very good and overall Sabotage remains a superior excercise in the genre. That being said the main flaw here is that things seem a little too superficial and there are too many scenes that fail to gain momentum, despite these minor flaws Sabotage remains a very enjoyable actioner, that's slick, well acted and well made. It certainly remains one of Dacascos' better movies and although it never acheives greatness of Drive it never falls to the level of Only The Strong. Worth watching, just not one time though.
