| The Road Killers (1994) Cast:Christopher Lambert,Christopher McDonald,Craig Sheffer,Joseph Gordon-Levitt Dreadful Hitcher knock off has Lambert hunting a psychopath on the road in which he must save his family from a group of road savages who were provoked by Christopher McDonald in this ludicrious and very dull thriller which features an unlikable hero and a god-awful script. The whole road horror-flick genre is one that relies heavily on exciting actionscenes as well as a few shocks to make it work, unfortunately The Road Killers fails to rise to the occasion to provide a white-knuckled actioner in the vein of The Hitcher, and the psychological elements of The Road Killers come off largely laughable since most of the time McDonald's actions are stupid. Why would you be mad at a group of drivers who are slightly speeding down a highway when your kid is looking at a flower, not paying attention to traffic? Sure it's not right to speed but it's as much his fault as it is the guys driving. So with no real reason why would Lambert threaten to sue when his brother (McDonald's character) was stupid enough to play chicken with a bigger car? Totally irritating. The Road Killers is without a doubt one of Lambert's lowest points in his career, even Lambert's most devoted fans won't find anything here, since the movie is nothing but a colossal waste of time..
