Road House (1989)

Cast:Patrick Swayze, Kelly Lynch, Sam Elliot, Ben Gazarra,Gary Hudson

Patrick Swayze stars as a  tough bouncer who cleans up a town run by a corrupt  mobster (Or something?) Gazarra,  see as it turns out Swayze has made business bad for Gazarra and now he's been targeted for termination in which is the ultimate guy's movie.

Road House is without a doubt one of the best bouncer movies ever made, that being said the only other competition is from Brain Smasher...A Love Story, so  I guess that's pretty much faint praise. Still as it stands Patrick Swayze kicks serious ass in the role, I mean screw Dirty Dancing, this is the man's legacy right here. Road House has so many punch outs and high energy shoot-outs that one can't help but sit back and enjoy the outright macho antics. Indeed this is one of the prime reasons why most women don't watch these type of movies, because truly Road House is so sexist, so action-packed and infact so muscleheaded that one isn't at all surprised that this one was chosen as prime example as one of the most sexist in the genre.  Whether politics holds here not, I hardly care, what I care about is how well made the movie is and how entertaining it is. Road House is of course a success on all these fronts. Besides it's the most fun one can ever hope for when looking for a fun bad-movie. D. Rowdy Herrington***
