| Red Sun Rising (1993) Cast:Don:The Dragon Wilson,Terry Farrel,Mako,Soon Tech Oh,Michael Ironside,James Lew,Yuji Okumoto Martial arts yarn involving a Japanese cop who goes to America to track down the assassin who used the death touch on his partner.Red Sun Rising has all the right elements and this martial arts actioner entertains. The plot is dumb but fun but despite the entertaining plot threads the whole thing collapses under it's own weight in the last 15 minutes, However Red Sun Rising does offer a few good actionscenes and Don "The Dragon" Wilson is always appealing and the relationship between him and Farrel provides some entertaining moments. Plus the movie is a reminder of the old Bruce Lee movies thanks to some good actionscenes and entertaining black magic, not too mention a fun plot . Overall Red Sun Rising is worth a look and remains one of Don's finest to date. D.Francis Megahy *** |
