Point Of Impact (1993)

Cast:Michael Pare,Barbara Carrera, Michael Ironside

A disgraced cop (Pare) becomes a bodyguard for a drug runner(Ironside) and falls for the druglords wife (Carrera) while trying to get even for his boss betrayal that led to Pares friend getting killed in this hideously dull thriller.

The problem with
Point Of Impact is that aside from some generally decent acting, is that its too ridiculous to take seriously. The sexscenes are hilariously bad due to Pare and Carreras lack of chemistry, I mean lets be serious their erotic chemistry couldnt light a match and the actors both look awkward as they know their supposed to have a flaming romance, which  registers below zero on the erotic meter. Secondly the movie is just too silly and derivative to entertain. The story has been told millions of times before and more compellingly. However the main flaw is that the  plot is so badly written and the characters so one-note that it fails to really leave much impact. Infact Point Of Impact emerges as a complete yawner.
