| Pitch Black (2000) Cast:Vin Diesel,Radha Mitchell,Keith David Vin Diesel makes his first starring role as a Riddick a serial killer who joins forces with a group of stranded survivors on a planet, with flesh-eating aliens, that come out in the dark, a problem comes up when the planet becomes dark, and remains dark for 22 years, now Riddick and co. must leave the planet. Pitch Black is a knock off, of Alien but what elevates Pitch Black above most clones, is that this one has a definite soul of it's own, the special effects are nicely done, the movie is quite suspenseful and the action set pieces have quite a kick to them, Diesel has a great screen presence, and he may be the first bald action star! The look of the movie is interesting, and the special effects are first rate, what more can you want? A classic B.movie in the making, and should make a star out of Diesel. D.David N.Twohy *** |
