| The Peacekeeper (1998) Cast:Dolph Lundgren,Roy Schieder,Michael Sarrazin,Montel Williams Lundgren plays an air force pilot who loses a "Black Bag" with nuclear launch codes that bad guys are using to blackmail the president into killing himself on nationial TV, in this very suspenseful actioner which builds interest in it's seasoned cast. The Peacekeeper is a better than average Die Hard knock off which has Lundgren in top notch martial arts form. Indeed all of the actionscenes are quite well staged and The Peacekeeper emerges as one of Lundgren's best efforts. The Peacekeeper builds suspense in it's premise while providing some surprisingly effective acting from the cast, which really makes this one of the best straight to video actioners from Nu Image which specializes in these type of films.. The real flaw I can think of is it's silly plot threads containing Lundgren's family as well as a few plotholes that somebody could drive a truck through, Still action fans will be too busy counting the bodies then caring about logic because in terms of action The Peacekeeper delivers the expected punch that fans of the genre want to see.
