| Mr Majestyk (1974) Cast:Charles Bronson,Al Lettieri,Linda Cristal,Lee Purcell Charles Bronson stars as a watermelon farmer who ends up going up against a wealthy mobster who makes life miserable for Bronson. Bronson keeps a cool head at first but when Lettieri has his goons shoot up Bronson's melons, it's time for some retribution in this old fashioned yet very fun actioner which has all the elements of a perfect Bronson basher. Mr. Majestyk is indeed one of Bronson's better efforts,because Mr. Majestyk furnishes an entertaining plot a good performance from Bronson and some energetic shootouts while not as spectactular as Bronson's Death Wish , still pack a punch. However Mr. Majestyk earns a recommendation mainly because how fast paced and entertaining it is. Sure this may seem lightweight and silly, but on it's own terms Mr. Majestyk works reasonably well.
