| Mission Impossible (1996) Cast:Tom Cruise,Emilio Estevez Cruise plays a Secret Agent who must foil a plot to take over the world in this entertainingly over the top actioner. Mission Impossible is a true crowd pleaser, it's great for Bond buffs who go for the whole "Spy VS Spy" plot threads and good for people who hate the gadgetry and over the top sophistication in those movies. That being said Mission Impossible emerges successful due to it's well staged actionscenes as well as it's own surprising number of intriguing ideas that it brings to the table. Tom Cruise isn't exactly actionstar material but the pace never slows down long enough for us to think about the fact that the plot is non-existant and that Cruise looks ridiculous.
