| Mask Of Death (1997) Cast:Lorenzo Lamas,Rae Dawn Chong,Billy Dee Williams,Conrad Dunn Nick McKenna(Lorenzo Lamas) is lucky to be alive after a confrontation with a mobster(Dunn) and his hitman (Lamas again) however when the hitman dies in the ensuing struggle, leaving McKenna badly injured and his wife dead, McKenna takes plastic surgery to imitate the hitman to avenge his wife's death. Despite the ridiculous plot and huge plotholes, Mask Of Death proves to be rather entertaining with some good actionscenes and alright acting from the cast of genre vets, Lamas does alright and contributes one of his better performances, however it's Conrad Dunn who makes this worth the price of a rental, his villian is well drawn out, and surprisingly likable, but the plot is far too ridiculous to work as well as it should but the movie does have some strong moments of Lamas losing his objective when he steps into the hitman's shoes providing Mask Of Death with more texture then most.
