| Martial Law (1990) Cast:Chad McQueen,Cynthia Rothrock,David Carradine,Phillip Tan Dull and cliched action movie about a cop who goes out for vengeance against the killers of his brother. Actually the off beat casting of Cynthia Rothrock and David Carradine is more interesting than anything else in the film which follows a strict formula which is fight-talk-fight-fight-fight-fight-fight-talk-fight which would be fun if McQueen was a polished martial artist. As a martial artist McQueen doesn't cut it,He looks slow and wooden as do the fights. This is for only Cynthia Rothrock ethusiasts only, but even they will be disappointed by the lack of cleverness, the actionscenes are often awkward and dull, Rothrock fans have tons of other martial arts movies to sink their teeth into, this is one to spit out. In closing, it's mindboggling that any thought went into this muck, a movie so mediocre in the actionscnenes and awesome in it's own dullness that nobody can find any entertainment in this awful cop thriller, Rothrock fans can only be disappointed, and David Carradine is too old to fight, so who was this movie made for?
