| A Knight's Tale (2001) Cast:Heath Ledger,Rufus Sewell A Knight's Tale is an example of what happens when Hollywood disgraces the action genre by aiming it at teenagers (girls in particular) And the results are B-A-D. When I was a kid I enjoyed movies where action stars were tough and not teen idols who tried to break rules Unfortunely due to the facts of the tragic columbine shootings most R rated action movies are going straight to video.2001 had several action movies out this year and only one was good (Kiss Of The Dragon) and one was okay (The Fast And The Furious) A Knight's Tale is simplicity in it's own terms it stars Ledger as a peasant who's master dies and he takes his place so he can becme a knight and woo a lady. The movie is just plain bad every aspect of the film reflects cheap melodrama and lame cliches that make Conan The Barbarian seem advanced. A Knights Tale is an example of what's wrong with american action movies. The fact that teens think this is good movie only prove the decline of S.A.T scores. The pits! D.Brian Helgeland * |
