| Into The Sun (1992) Cast:Anthony Michael Hall, Michael Pare,Linden Ashby, Deborah Moore,Terry Kiser An elite fighter pilot (Pare) trains an actionstar (Hall) on how to do fly and other Air Force things, however when they both are shot down, it's up to them to band together and survive in this ultimately routine actioner highlighted by excellent flying scenes. Into The Sun features good chemistry between Hall and Pare but the problem with the movie is that by the final reel everything is so damn ridiculous. Indeed Into The Sun starts off rather promisingly with Pare becoming understandably irritated by the presence of the action star, while Hall gives a decent performance as the fish out of water all of this is done with some energy. Unfortunately when the climax comes we are treated to a predictable ending where Pare and Hall are captured and then rescued, it's as if the writers didn't have enough faith in it's premise to show ambition, the ending is rather well handled but so ridiculously goofy this one fails to really reach a recommendation. Still for Pare or Hall fans Into The Sun is worth a look, especially since each star tries really hard with the material and like I said the actionscenes especially the flying ones provide some excitement, but just can't overcome the silliness here.
