| The Immortal (2001) Cast:Lorenzo Lamas,April Telek An Immortal warrior goes through time killing demons in this mediocre movie that was a pilot for a shortlived TV show. Simpily put this is a low rent Highlander clone, nothing protrayed here is new, it's all the same and the movie is startlingly routine, if not dull,The Immortal isn't very good, but there are enough moments of entertainment to it to make it worth a look, in particular for fans of Lorenzo Lamas or fans of the TV show. Indeed Lorenzo Lamas has been in the footsteps of Christopher Lambert, and he has tried to match Highlander. First with The Swordsman and The Swordsman II. And now comes The Immortal a brain dead yet mildly diverting actioner which is decent for a TV pilot, with some well done action scenes, however Lamas is always a liability and watching him try to act is painful...and the movie runs on way too long making this only for fans of Lorenzo Lamas. ** |
