Highlander:Endgame (2000)

Cast:Christopher Lambert,Adrian Paul,Bruce Payne,Donnie Yen

Another follow up to this popular (despite the lame sequels before this)series has Lambert passing the torch of to Paul  as they prepare to battle with Kell (Bruce Payne) an immortal who  has more quickenings then them  put together, now  in order to stand a chance they must kill each other. So-so sequel improves on the first two sequels mainly because of simple physics  but fails to match the inventiveness of the first.

Strictly routine sequel has scenes of potentional that go ultimately unrealized.  Lambert looking older  gives an okay performance as does Adrian Paul despite the fact the seem quite bored with the material.  This could've perhaps been better had they gone with Donnie Yen as the villain rather than Payne because when it comes to action Yen impresses and the movie has some quite exciting actionscenes..  This is still a bad movie which like a token
Highlander sequel at times makes no sense and contradicts the first one. Again.

Among the questions I was wondering was why these people could exist when three times Lambert was declared the last immortal.  This time it has several immortals, a government agency who tries to prevent the prize and two people who just out of random save Adrian Paul. I never watched the TV show, So I don't know how it all works but my theory is that this takes place on another planet. Who knows? It might as well be.  Not that it matters. All Highlander:Endgame has going for it is that it's at least a passable film which is a vast improvement over the other sequels.  Faint praise aside, I think only fans of this series will derive much enjoyment from this. .
