| Hawk's Vengeance (1995) Cast:Gary Daniels, Jayne Heitmeyer Gary Daniels stars as Hawk a mercenary, who investigates the death of his brother while also uncovering a plot to harvest organs, Hawk is ticked off and single handedly wipes out bad guys. Ho-hum action fllick with very little imagination. Gary Daniels' movies are often uninspired efforts and Hawk's Vengenance is a prime example, the actionscenes have mediocre choreography but are ruined by the directing also the movie's story is so tediously bland and predictable that it's basically only for die hard Daniels fans. Indeed it's all about the action right? Well these are botched beyond all belief, Daniels is usually a sharp martial artist but here his martial arts ability is often filmed by the wrong angles and edited with the subtleness of a chainsaw. Not that it matters, this is such tired material that it's no wonder why nobody has reviewed it. Also this was originally written for Lorenzo Lamas, who turned it down, so how lame does a movie have to be, when Lamas turns it down? If you like Gary Daniels you may enjoy this however others though are advised to avoid this weak effort which vanishes from memory even before the credits roll. D.Marc F. Foizard *1/2 |
