Executive Decision (1996)

Cast:Kurt Russell,Steven Seagal,John Leguizamo, Halle Berry, B.D Wong.

Disappointingly mediocre actioner has Russell and Seagal boarding a plane  to fight a group of arab terrorists (Yawn) seems that they have a chemical bomb and it's up to our commando heroes to disarm it and rush the plane and get it down safely.  A lot of people like this but I found this far too derivative and dull to be all that enjoyable.

You have seen it before and you will see it again, usually more entertaining and exciting than this. Hopefully. Steven Seagal is barely any the movie and was indeed in there to get Seagal fans into the theaters.  His presence makes no real impression on this viewer one way or another.  What
Executive Decision is  a movie about disarming bombs.  What people don't realize is that movie about disarming is always anti-climatic due to the fact that we know with glaring certainity that it's going to end on a good note.  This is why the movie is so disappointing, it's like a remake of The Delta Force, without the silliness that made that fun. This is a humorless thriller which contains all the cliches that you would expect.  Would you believe that Russell has to land the plane despite his shakiness?   I never get tired of that cliche.
