Bloodfist V:Human Target (1993)

Cast:Don "The Dragon" Wilson,Steve James,Denise Duff,Yuji Okumoto

Wilson stars as Jim Roth an FBI agent or a big time gangster who loses  his memory during a gunfight, however when wakes up in a hospital, people start shooting at him and he doesn't know who to trust or who to turn to in this utterly routine offering although James holds his own as the sleazy villian and the film boasts several good action scenes, still it's a rip off of the superior
Timebomb with Michael Biehn.

You may want to take my opinion with a grain of salt, since I happen to be a huge Steve James fan, This being his last role, I give high marks alone for that, his acting here is impressive although his showdown with Wilson should have been better. The team-up of Wilson and James should've been epic, but James is given hardly any character to manuever with and of course more of it goes to stoic Wilson, who doesn't even try this time.

Movies like
Bloodfist V are frustrating because they revel in their ordinary stories of revenge and action, however what makes this effort all the more frustrating is that the viewer never figures out whether Wilson is a bad-ass mobster or if he's a kickboxing FBI agent, it doesn't matter because Fist V is never concerned with developing the story, it's just simply action for the sake of action. I guess this works for fans of the star or martial arts kickemups, but anyone else will be bored...D.Jeff Yonis **
