| Blood Warriors (1993) Cast:David Bradley,Frank Zagarino, Jennifer Campbell David Bradley stars as a Texan martial artist who goes to the Phillipines to help out a best friend Keith Stone (played by Frank Zagarino) who fakes his death and brings Bradley there to ask if he wants to help him deal drugs, Bradley declines so Zagarino tries to kill him, So Bradley sets out for revenge, and to also get out Stone's sister Karen(Campbell) who he has a thing for in this tedious actioner. If anything else Blood Warriors features what has to be some of the most overripe acting this side of a Kung Fu Theater cheapie. The dialogue is read with the over the top intensity that you almost are convinced by the characters. Almost. In the smaller scenes David Bradley and Jennifer Campbell's scenes are done with such low key dullness that you can barely hear their poorly written dialogue, sadly it's probably best this way. Actually to be fair Bradley comes off the best here, he's not any good but he merely comes off mediocre. Of course when compared to Zagarino he may just come off that way. In a disasterously over the top performance Zagarino is far to whiny and obnoxious to take seriously. What also makes this somewhat creepy is that there's a subplot that suggests that Zagarino maybe raping his sister which adds little impact to this overall dull movie. Also along the way David Bradley sings us a song and perhaps here is where his talent is. It's not that I hate David Bradley, it's just that he's too much of a Michael Dudikoff rip off, he's an extremely poor actor and a slow martial artist so his fightscenes are typically dull. It doesn't help matters either that Bradley looks more like Garth Brooks than he does like an actionstar. Blood Warriors is a very dreary movie without an ounce of life to be found, it's done so by the numbers and with such a low degree of style that it will no doubt disappoint even the most tolerant in the genre.
