Bloodmatch (1991)
Cast:Thom Mathews,Benny "The Jet" Urquidez,Hope Marie Carlton, Dale Jacoby,Michael Qissi

Thom Mathews stars as Brick Bardo a fighter who kidnaps all of the fighters involved with his brother's death and forces them to fight in to the death matches, it plays as ridiculous as it sounds.

Mathews gives a good performance and impresses in many of the actionscenes through out, but seriously this confusing and senseless kung fu fest will make you think "Huh" most of the time.  Although the choreography is decent the fightscenes themselves are shot with too much "artistic doctoring" these fightscenes are so confusing because one can't tell if Mathews is hitting an opponent three times or just once and just being shown the same hit three times via slow-motion.  As far as martial arts movies go, this isn't a complete waste of time but aside from a few moments of good ass-kicking (When Pyun doesn't muck it up) and a good performance from Mathews this fails to stand out in a genre with other blood drenched titles like this.
