| Beyond Forgiveness(1994) Cast:Thomas Ian Griffith,Rutger Hauer,John Rhys Davies Above average Ian Griffith vehicle has him probing the disappearence of Russian imigrants. Thomas Ian Griffith is so much like Steven Seagal I almost have trouble telling them apart, oh yeah Griffith is the least talented of the two. Rutger Hauer lends the film that extra boost is what makes this movie rise above straight mediocrity. Hauer has always been a good actor and the action takes a backseat to the story. It's actually not that bad as these cheap action films go, there is some genuine suspense and it is quite entertaining but it tends to cover the same ground over and over.Which is sad because the film's story isn't too interesting. By the numbers but has a few crisp action scenes as well as Rutger Hauer depriving Griffith of his insides (!) to keep you interested throughout.. D.Bob Misiorowski **1/2 |
