The Annhilators (1985)

Cast:Jim Antonio,Gerrit Graham,Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs,Paul Koslo

A group of Vietnam vets come to the aid of a bunch of people living in the slums ruled by a group of thugs led by Royboy (?!) where the gang leaders meet their match in these soldiers who churn out the only kind of justice these thugs realize-Wholesale slaughter in this utterly awful movie.

For those who were hard on
Death Wish 3, only have to look to this obnoxious and crude junker which not only rips off Death Wish 3 but offers none of the bodycount entertainment value offered by Death Wish 3, making this a soulless and lackluster actioner devoid of any real merit. Another surprising thing was how controversial this one was when it came out, especially considering the fact that aside from the laughable opening which contains the only real gore to speak of, the rest of the action is limp, poorly staged and just tedious to watch.

It also doesn't help that none of the heroes or villians can hit either of their targets, it doesn't matter what kind of gun it is, at times I was wondering whether the soldiers and thugs were just trying to waste ammo half of the time, it doesn't matter though, this is really just a beefed up crappy made for cable actioner that made it to theaters. So if you want to see  guys kill a bunch of street thugs, over the top mayhem laced with (A few unintentional) laughs, watch
Death Wish 3 instead, not only does it have a cooler hero in Charles Bronson but at least Bronson actually hit his intended targets when he fired a gun. D.Charles E. Seiler*
