| American Ninja 5 (1993) Cast:David Bradley,Pat Morita,James Lew,Lee Reyes To tell you the truth I didn't wanna see American Ninja 5,The movie stars one of the worst actors in the genre and even though I liked the first two and found part 4 tolerable I really wanted to leave it at that.` However I saw AN 5 and I shouldn't have bothered. American Ninja 5 is the kind of movie that would be mildly diverting had it contained a well staged action scene and if it built suspense but American Ninja 5 fails to even accomplish that simple task. The plot is servicable I mean you have the whole Karate Kid plot reworked which has David Bradley training a kid to be a ninja only to be attacked by a evil ninja(Lew) who killed the boy's father. We all know that a movie of this caliber is gonna be bad but if it can contain some suspense it will rise above it's cheap production values...alas American Ninja 5's action scenes are sub-par. .Consider an actionscene as a diet American Ninja 5's actionscenes would be a diet that contains no protein. The big actionscenes are slow and stupid and the whole kiddy factor will discourage most viewers.That being said action movie fans will find nothing worthwhile here, unless you consider boredom worthwhile.* |
