On second viewing (It had been almost 10 years!) I loved this movie, not because it was any good, the story was ridiculously absymial and the actionscenes themselves while okay didn't make the movie all that good, No I loved this movie because it was so damn terrible, I laughed and was amused through out, it works much better than comedies that try this! Once again I loved every minute of it. This movie is absoluately brilliant. Nothing about this movie isn't demented genius in some way or another, American Kickboxer 2 is absoluate bliss for the bad movie fan, I swear that I haven't laughed this hard since I watched the three stooges. American Kickboxer 2 is so god-awful I don't even know where to begin describing the absoluate cheap quality of the film. Another thing about the movie is how Dale Cook and Evan Lurie are such bad actors that they don't even seem to exist, once again you cannot say you've watched a bad movie until this is in your collection. I guess martial arts fans will also find a lot to enjoy as the fightscenes are competently staged, but for the wise viewer one is just soaking in the sheer awfulness and laughing their butt off. I'm not sure that American Kickboxer 2's producers and director intended this to be so funny, but hey i'm not complaining. American Kickboxer 2 is without a doubt the final word in so bad their good movies. Trust me. Not even Troll 2 has anything on this baby . D.Jeno Hodi |
