| Above The Law (1988) Cast:Steven Seagal,Pam Grier,Henry Silva ,Sharon Stone Above The Law was Steven Seagal's first movie, and although his acting is not quite oscar worthy the movie makes for an entertaining hour and a half with it's engaging actionscenes and familiar cast that keep this one interesting. Above The Law for the most part is a fairly enjoyable mainly due to it's tight directing from Davis who puts together this cop thriller with so much energy and action that the results are better then what one would expect from a Seagal actioner. As Seagal's debut he gives a better performance then what you'd think and Pam Grier lends some good support as Seagal's tough partner, but the flaw is the same one as in Davis' Code Of Silence, the plot just gets to bland and slow.
