Grand Admirals Concept Art
What is Grand Admirals? Well it will be a mod based around the Vega Strike Space Combat game. Hopeful Alpha Summer 2005 with Version 1.0 ready by the End of 2005. I am working on the major website to explain the universe, technology, and technical specs in more detail. System specs will be shooting for PIII 1Ghz +, 256MB Ram, 32MB Video Card or G4 1Ghz, 256MB Ram, 32 MB Video Card.
These are real early rendering from Blender. The Models are actually the exact same. The High Poly Count uses Blender's Subsurface tool in the Edit mode to make things rounded and then use Autosmooth to make it appear smooth. Next is to figure out the UV texture mapping tool in Blender...then I'll worry about coversions later. Hope to have the ships modelled by the end of March (all races), back story and history completed, and start programming work in April.

Fighters - I am debating on how much to add or not to add in the
VS universe. Quite a few fighter designs
Transports - Several of these designs are on their way for GA as
well as VS universe in General
Wormhole/jumpgates - Couple concept designs in extremely early
designs aleady in progress
Rail Gun/Mass Driver projectiles & Missiles
Orbital Batteries
Space Stations - probably much later
Design Philosophies: KISS/Apple. Start out simple, then add complexity with each generation and refine with each generation.
