DPA BATCH 76 CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS 2000
The first Christmas Party for the entire Batch of DPA Class 76 was held last December 16, 2000 at the rest house of Congressman Ayong Maliksi in  Bucandala, Imus, Cavite.
This was attended by 64 members.  Compared to the past 3 years, we saw a dwindling attendance from Section A.  I just hope that we don't get tired seeing each other.
Noemi de Castro-Reyes was our balikbayan guest during the party.
The party won't be complete without the traditional parlor games, exchange gifts and raffle draw.
A million thanks to our classmates who donated some raffle prizes for the evening:
Edwin Constantino
Myra Handog-Pimentel
Soledad Camaclang-Manuel
Edsel Palma
Ronaldo Paras
Liza Marcial-Saavedra
There were so much laughter when the parlor games started! How would you imagine macho-looking guys dressed in girls' attires a-la "THALIA" (the famous star of a popular TV soap opera) in the game, "Thalia Went to the Market".  Walang panama si Madonna sa mga participants!
We modified "Trip to Jerusalem"with the guys standing in circle with eggplants between their thighs. Here you would see the mischievous smiles from the guys every time their "eggplants" were touched. (He-he-he).
Of course, it would be unfair kung walang kaligayahang idinulot sa mga kababaihan, so we had to play the "infamous" Banana Eating Contest. Guess who's the expert!
On a serious and nobler cause, the class solicited some cash on the spot through Christmas carols for one of our members --- Rosalinda "Deng"Javier.   She was recently diagnosed to be suffering from the big C (of the breast) .  The amount collected was not that huge yet it was a big help for her. During this scene, marami ang napaluha.
The night was incomplete dahil wala ang inaasahan naming "LIFE" of the party, our dearly beloved Emely Cajigas-Casanada, the brain-child of the fund raising for this Christmas Party.  It was her idea to go from house to house (select member of the class and some referrals) at mangharana.  Thanks to the members of the class who went out of their way at hindi inalintana ang hamog at lamig ng gabi just to be able to raise funds for the Christmas Party.
Food and drinks were catered by Liza Marcial-Saavedra.
Our beloved  Alma Mater celebrated its 51st anniversary last February 10, 2001, coinciding  with the DPA Batch 76 Silver Anniversary.
The celebration started with a motorcade in the morning from 8:30AM to 10:30AM all throughout Imus.  The motorcade was even covered by ABS-CBN Channel 2.  Unfortunately, yours truly was not able to join this motorcade so I do not have much to say about it.    However, those who were present said that it was indeed a great success.
The evening affair was held at the Imus Social Terrace from 7PM to 1AM.  Batch 76 members (62 in all) were honored as the 25th year celebrants.  Highlight of the evening was the candle ceremony and the singing of our Alma Mater Song led by no less than the Class 76.
Food and beverage were again catered by our own Liza Marcial-Saavedra.  (Mukhang lumalakas ang business ni Liza because of the DPA Class 76!)
Governor Bong Revilla was the guest speaker. He stayed for almost an hour and witnessed several presentations from some DPA alumni.
YES!  Who said we're getting OLDER?
Oops!. The celebration for the DPA Class 76 Silver Anniversary does not end there.  There will be a summer get-together scheduled on April 21, 2001.  This is where the officers plan to paint the town red and enjoy each other's company and continue reminiscing the good old days shared together 25 years ago!
Please watch out for the next update!
