"Silent Water that Runs Deep"; "Tahimik pero Matinik"; "Bagyo pero Walang Hangin". These are a few words that could very well describe Ron Paras.
He was very quiet, you would think that he did not have anything to say. He was one of those students you would not catch dead singing a song on stage or performing the "hustle" or the "El Bimbo" during school convocations. Arguably though, he was the smartest boy in the hood. His "Hustle" might be a dud but he sure was a master hustler in Math and Physics. He would amaze you how easily he would solve those "number problems" that we, the "2+2=5" students could only wish those school courses were never invented. He was given the "Best in Math" honor and graduated on the top 5 of the graduating class.
Graduating from the Technological Institute of the Philippines in 1981, he pursued a successful carreer in Civil Engineering. |
