JUDIBETH NAMUCO- GERVACIO
(family photo to follow)
"Sa liblib na pook doon mo itago ang aking larawang sa ganda ay bigo". I could still very well remember the "dedications" she wrote on the back of a photo that she gave me when we were in second year. I remember  when many of the students would go to either Barbon's or Mr. Aures's to have their pictures taken and then exchanged among friends. "Sa Ganda ay Bigo- Definitely the opposite, Judibeth Namuco is a "Brains and Beauty". One of the most popular beauties of our class, Dodie is also one of the smartest. In high school she was a charming young lady who was quite sophisticated for her young age. She was a talented "actress" winning praises in "declamation competitions". She graduated at the top 15 of the Class.
Dodie has been living in Georgia, USA with husband Emil and their three children.
Let's see or should I say read what she has been up to.

Dear Orland and Family,
Thank you for answering my e-mail.  I just do not have time to sit down and write a letter because usually I am in the kitchen cooking or washing clothes; you know all those women's job!  Anyway, today I told my self, before I slave myself again at the kitchen I better do this first.  We all went home in March 1997 because my mother in-law passed away.  We stayed there for about three weeks but did not see anybody except Maribel and of course Divina.  My husband and Divina are first cousins (her mother and his mother).  My boys loved the Philippines and picked up some Tagalog words.  Erica, who will be 16 this coming Sept.2, understands our language but unfortunately can't speak it properly. Joshua, 11, and Jacob who is 8 can not speak Tagalog at all.  This is really frustrating because some people said, if your kids are bilingual they will have difficulties at school.  That's why we just made a big mistake not to teach our kids to speak our language.
My husband, Emil, is already retired in the military.  So, we are probably not moving anymore.  Valdosta is not really bad for us.  Lifestyle here is not too bad and education is all right.  Erica is a junior at Valdosta High School, and the two boys go to a Christian school.
I worked as a bookkeeper/secretary in a Chinese restaurant. I guess this is the reason why I gained so much weight (whatever....)  Orland, did you gain some weight now? I really believed that after you reach forty, your waistline goes up too.
About this "guestbook" thing, how I can sign in?  You know I am not really in to this computer thing.
My son Jacob even told me a while ago that I don't need to ask anybody to use the computer, terrible hah?  Well, I use computer at work;
But that is work, right?
I guess I need to sign off for a while I got to do some lumpia for our church cook out tonight.  Please send my regards to your wife and kids.
Tell them that I am one of your good classmates. By the way, what is Beng's real name?  How come I did not hear about this romance when we were in high school?
You are really full of secrets. Well, that's it for a while and after one or two weeks after you respond I can write to you; writing is one of my weakest points.
Take care,
Dodie
