Mahinhin at Mayumi, Tahimik at Walang Kibo. Ang mga katangiang ito ay hindi inangkin at hindi maaaring taglayin ni Emely Cajigas, manlagas man ang LAHAT ng kanyang mga buhok.
One single word to describe her best ---- NATURAL (as in hindi tupperware or plastic).  She is naturally friendly, naturally appreciative, naturally talkative, and naturally "built" (as in no- silicone).
Being in her company means no single dull moment, as she doesn't run out of words to say and is always the "life" of the group. Kung ibig ninyong magpalipas oras, tawagan lamang siya sa telepono at garantisadong kulang ang mag hapon ninyo. On the other hand if you missed any of her calls and you have lots of housework to do, never attempt to return any. It will be a terrible mistake if you did. Hindi matatapos ang labahin ninyo!
During high school days, she was popularly known as the "Elizabeth Oropesa - look alike" of Class 76.  She was also one of the most sought coed in the campus for her hourglass figure (36-24-36)(?). Another captivating asset boys can't help sighed with admiration is her pair of natural rosy cheeks. Sarap pisil pisilin.
Sa lahat ng kabakyaan or should I say lahat ng kabaklaan, siya'y palaging kasali. She was always active during Convocation Days that she was always on stage either dancing or modeling. She was the class"Ms. U.S.A."during a cheesy United Nations presentation in 1975.  With a singing voice even her mother would not like to hear, she brave-heartily sang TOP OF THE WORLD with a group during one of the Foundation Day celebrations. It then became the group's theme song, that everytime there's an opportunity to sing at any videoke house, the night won't be complete without this song being rendered.
She took up BS in Food Technology at the Philippine Women's University together with another colleague, Myra Handog.  After graduation in 1980, she worked at FTI for a short period of time.
She's now a very proud and fulfilled housewife.  She got married in 1982 to Dexter Casanada from Mulanay, Quezon.  They are blessed with three children, Ryan (1983), Mavin (1986) and Dana May (1990). At present she is taking up some teaching courses that will prepare her to utilize her great talent in talking.
Without an "EMELY" in our class, this yearly annual gathering of Class 76-A would not have been possible.  It is her untiring support and stamina that keep our wheels running.  She has been the class point of contact for any update, any balikbayan on the way home, chismis around the world; etc.
Emely, We are indeed lucky to have you in our Class! Keep up the good work!
