I entered the Sisters as a Postulant on Sunday, June 13, 2004 and became Sister Kimberly on Oct. 7, 2005 -- Feast of the Holy Rosary. This Mass of Reception was held at Maryvale, the Provincial House of the Sisters in Valley City, N.D.
The Novitiate is a two-year phase. The first year, which is called the canonical year, I will study the history of the Catholic Church; the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience; French; etc. I will also be helping out in the community library, serve as sacristan, help out with our Sisters who need companionship (read to them, write letters for them, or whatever), and I will help in the kitchen with dishwashing and produce. The second year, the apostolic year, I will be in active ministry somewhere with our Sisters. During this period of time I will live with the Sisters at Maryvale.
In the United States the Sisters' ministries are carried on in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Illinois.
