I would like to introduce you the pigeon flutes or whistles of Indonesia. Pigeon flutes have a long history and were produced in China by professional artisans since the early time of the Qing Dynasty(1644-1911). But now these flutes are very rare and are kept in the museums.
Fortunately, In Indonesia, a country in south east Asia, some people still have this wonderful skill to make it.These flute are made of wood and bamboo. They are small and very light, less than 3 grams each. With the aerodynamically design, the flute doesn't affect the flying performance of the pigeon. Since all the flutes are handmade, every single flute produce a different tones, so when several pigeons fly at the same time, you will hear euphonic music from the sky even from miles away. These flutes are not only a nice piece of artwork, but also serve as a protector against predators like hawks and eagles, which are scared away by the sound of flutes.
