Graham Hill was born on 15th February 1929 and died 29th November 1975.
Graham began his F1 career in 1958 with Lotus and after two seasons signed in 1960 with Team BRM a term which lasted 7 years and gained him 10 Wins and the 1962 World Title.
1966 and Graham in a Lola/Ford won the Indy 500.
1967 saw Graham return to Lotus and secure his second World Title in 1968 but a big crash in 1969 at Watkins Glen saw him thrown from his Lotus breaking both his legs.
Graham made a return to F1 in Rob Walkers private Lotus at the South African Grand Prix where he finished 6th. this resulted in Brabham giving Graham a drive for the 1971/72 seasons but age was catching up with Graham and he was not competitive.
Many thought that Graham would retire after 1972 and were surprised when he launched his own Team Embassy Hill naming himself as one of the drivers however the team was always strugling and after failing to qualify for the Monaco Grand Prix in 1975 Graham finally decided to retire from driving at the age of 46.
On the 29th of November Graham Hill was flying his private plane back to england from France where his Team were testing the new GH2 F1 car for the 1976 season on board was young driver Tony Brise and three other Team members but approaching the landing strip in heavy fog the plane clipped a tree on a golf course and crashed killing all on board.
Graham Hill is the only driver to have won The Indy 500, Le Mans 24hour and F1 World Titles.
