This holiday is celebrated in the middle of the summer,
in July. On this day the shepherds separate the rams from the sheep.
People say that Saint Ilie provokes the fires in the
hot summers, the thunders and the lightning's, he "ties" and "unties" the
rains, as he is a God of Sun.
This holiday announces the beginning of the gathering
of remedying plants, but it is also the best moment for the astronomical
and meteorological forecast.

Se sărbătorește în miezul verii, în luna iulie.În această
zi, ciobanii separă berbecii de oi. Se spune că Sf. Ilie provoacă incendiile
în miezul verilor toride, produce tunetele, fulgerele, leagă si dezleagă
ploile ca zeu al Soarelui.
Această sărbătoare marchează începutul culegerii plantelor
de leac, dar este si cel mai prielnic moment pentru pronosticuri astronomice
si meteorologice.
