| The Birth - Nașterea |
For all the parents and for the members of the community,
giving birth to new baby is a great happiness. This event is in close connection
to belief in destiny. People say that the Parcae must be calmed down
for the baby to have luck. The newborn is greeted with noisy parties where
the parents and the relatives participate. The baptism of the baby takes
place when it is 2 -3 months old. Every baby has a midwife, the reprezentative
of the ancestors. People also say that the Parcae are ruthless goddesses
of the destiny.

Pentru toți părinții, cât și pentru membrii comunității,
nașterea unui copil este o mare sărbătoare. Acest eveniment este strâns
legat de credința în destin. Se spune că ursitoarele trebuie îmbunate pentru
ca pruncul să aibă noroc. Întâmpinarea noului născut se face cu petrecei
zgomotoase la care participă părinții șI rudele apropiate. Botezul copilului
se face la 2- 3 luni de la naștere. Orice nou născut are o moașă, reprezentanta
moșilor și strămoșilor. Se spune de asemenea că ursitoarele sunt
zeițele neîndurătoare ale destinului.
