Many war veterans are buried in St. Paul's Cemetery. This is the grave of Samuel Beavers, Perry Township's only Revolutionary War veteran. |

This is the grave of John J. Wine. He enlisted in an Ohio regiment in the beginning of the Civil War, but eventually became a corporal in the 9th Lousiana (colored). He died in the battle of Milliken's Bend in 1863, where his troops suffered heavy losses. Although he is buried in Mississippi, his father erected this statue in remembrance of his only son.
