Percival's Photo Of The Week

Moose Cholak
A 1960's picture of Moose Cholak when he went by the name of "Yukon." Percival: "It was sent to me by a fan from Indiana. Her mom and sister were walking between towns, and Moose happened to be driving by and offered them a ride to the next town. Moose gave them each an autographed picture, which they have kept and shared with me."

Las Vegas 2008!!!

I am in Las Vegas this week. I invite you to enjoy one of my favorite stories.

This past week, I opened my e-mail, and two of the items were ones that I thought I would pass along to my readers. Hopefully, they will have a good meaning to you. They did to me and had me doing some serious thinking.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you want to pick them from your dreams and hug them. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and only one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and truly enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Happiness lives for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

He who laughs last, thinks slowest. Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just don't have film.

A day without sunshine is like ... night. On the other hand, you have different fingers.

Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine. I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory.

When the chips are down, the buffalo is empty.

Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it. Those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't. I feel like I'm diagonally parked in a parallel universe.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted then used against you.

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges. Honk if you love peace and quiet.

Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how it remains so popular? Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

It is hard to understand how a cemetery raised its burial costs and then blamed it on the cost of living.

Just remember ... if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end to end, someone would be stupid enough to try and pass them.

You can't have everything, where would you put it? The latest survey shows that 3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the world's population.

The things that come to those who wait are usually the things left by those who got there first. A fine is a tax for doing wrong. A tax is a fine for doing well. It was recently discovered that research causes cancer in rats.

Everybody lies, but it doesn't matter since nobody listens.

I wished the buck stopped here, as I could use a few. I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.

And my favorite:

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak!!

Hope to see you all in Las Vegas June 9, 10 & 11 for the Cauliflower Alley Club Banquet.

The wedding of Adrian Street and Miss Linda
Miss Linda being led to the stage of the CAC at the Riviera by V.P. Karl Lauer for her wedding to Adrian Street. Percival: "Bp. Jason Sanderson was in charge, and the wedding went off without anybody holding a shotgun to the groom's back. This was a first for the CAC, and it was a night that the 2 Percival's honored Sir Oliver Humperdink."
