Golf Outing Part Two

Our prayers go out this week for President Ronald Reagan, who passed away at the age of 93. He was one of my boyhood western heroes on the big screen and on TV with Death Valley Days. Rest in Peace, Sir ... Percival

Last week, I wrote about a golf outing to be held in Beecher, Illinois on Saturday July 17, 2004. It is to benefit Alicia's House, a non-profit food pantry that helps to feed the needy of South Chicago and suburban cities.

I received a number of e-mails this past week wondering about the event and how people that are not in the area could help with donations and memorabilia for the silent auctions. There are over 50 items up for auction that day.

I will be donating a 1981 Jim Beam Whiskey Decanter, still unopened, from a convention held in Las Vegas, Nevada. A picture of it is below ... by the way, only less than 100 still exist that are full and unopened. The value on it is around $150, but it will go to the highest bidder on July 17.

Here are a couple of pages that were given to me with a page that you can copy and paste to a letter form for your use in helping out with your donation or pledges.

Any and all help will be very much appreciated by Juan and Stella, who do a marvelous job at making lives a lot better in their area. You may contact them privately or by e-mail concerning your questions about this event. I will be posting a list of celebrities that are confirmed to attend in the next few weeks and the items up for auction.
