JACK MCGEE

         INTRODUCTION

I'm sure everyone who is a fan of The Incredible Hulk Television Series remembers good ol' Jack Mcgee. How could you forget? He was a reporter for the National Register on the Series and followed the Hulk however he could and wouldn't give up. Played by Jack Colvin; Jack Mcgee was a vital role in the series, he was one of the main things that David Banner was running from (Mcgee and the law). Jack Mcgee insists on following the creature because he believes that the Hulk killed Dr. David Banner and Elaina Marks as you can find out if you watch the very first pilot episode that aired back on November 7, 1977. There have been many close call Banner-Mcgee run-ins on many of the episodes of the series which made a lot of the episodes much more entertaining.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

It all started back when Mcgee was suspected something of the mysterious David Banner and Elaina Marks when they wouldn't let him in the laboratory. Most people know that have watched the first episode that Mcgee sneaks in and is discovered by David Banner who escorts him out to tell him the famous line that is in the introduction to every episode; "Mr Mcgee, don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry. Then the lab blows up which send David in to try and save Elaina, the metamorphisis takes  place and the Hulk carries her out but its too late. When Elaina is found dead they think that the Hulk killed both Dr. David Banner and Elaina Marks. We all hear Mcgee at the end of the pilot movie saying it is going to be the biggest story. That is how it all started.

THE SEARCH IS ON

At this point Mcgee takes any leads he can to try and track down the Hulk. We all know that Mcgee works for the National Register in Chicago (which doesn't have a very good reputation as far as true stories go.  We have heard people

say many times in the shows; "you expect me to believe your newspaper?" flying objects and aliens is a lot of what the National Register would publish. Kind of like the tabloids we have today.  Mcgee's first lead comes when he talks to the cop in "Death In The Family," the second episode of the series. Mcgee doesn't really get far in this one though, after all it is his first try to find the Hulk.
