Family and Friends:

Greetings from the snow-laden streets of Chicago!  The beauty and faithfulness of God is evident on a million neighboring faces, as is the longing for a Hope that can only be fully realized through the reconciling work of God in Christ; The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  I write asking that you join me in pleading before the Lord of the Harvest to send out workers into His harvest (Matthew 9:38).  Working alongside Stephen and Chris Daniels at the Paxton Avenue Christian Church, I have seen God truly manifest His heart for the city and our oft-neglected neighbors.  God has begun pouring out His Spirit on the Paxton Ave. family as I have never before experienced, developing a genuine Christian Community with a heart for its neighbors and a hunger to know Him more fully.  What is more, through the work of His Spirit, God has begun to cast a vision in the church and its leadership of ministering to the felt needs of the community through more holistic, church-based development.  Pray for the churchs continued sensitivity to Gods Spirit as He refines His calling and continues to build His church.

In addition to these things, we ask that you join us in regular prayer for our church, neighborhood, and city. Safety, drugs, and gangs are constant concerns for us all; pray that God will transform individual hearts and oppressive structures that perpetuate such behavior, that the neighborhood streets will echo with laughter and praise.  Intercede for the church as it seeks to minister to the communitys needs and share the light of the Gospel.  Finally, rejoice with us; praise God for the work He is doing faith is growing and lives are changing!

On behalf of the Paxton Avenue Christian Church and with Christs Love:
