Intern Orientation Manual - Task & Means
Paxton Play Days
PAXTON PLAY DAYS is our summer childrens ministry for K-5th graders.  Tuesdays followed a VBS format including bible lessons, crafts, songs, videos, games, and aggression replacement training.  Thursdays were our field trip days, which included the beach, Lincoln Park Zoo, the fire station, parks, and a fishing clinic.  Free lunches were provided Tuesdays through Thursdays.  Our second year (2002) had over 40 neighborhood kids registered; we are excited as God continues to grow this outreach, allowing us to minister to the community by developing relationships, building trust, and sharing Christ.

While much can be gained from previous summers, each intern brings his/her distinct stamp to the summers content and activities.  With many available resources and their own creativity, interns are the primary agents of planning, organizing, and publicizing the ministry.  Beyond the planning and programs, however, Paxton Play Days exist simply to worship Christ by loving His children and sharing His love.
