Math
ALG48 v 4.2- ALG48 is a comprehensive symbolic math package for
the HP48. It includes commands for algebraic
simplification, factorization, partial fraction
expansion, symbolic integration, symbolic matrices
manipulation, and for solving systems of nonlinear
polynomial equations. (522 kb). By Claude-Nicolas
Fiechter & Mika Heiskanen.
Erable 3.2-
Erable is a computer algebra system for the HP48. The
main features are simplifications (including complex
arithmetic and square roots), integration, first order
diferential equations, partial fraction decomposition,
Laplace and inverse Laplace transform, limits, Taylor and
asymptotic series, row reduction to echelon form of
matrices, linear system (including over and under
determined), eigenvalues and eigenvectors, quadratic
forms, permutations, variables substitution. It needs at
least 100 kb of free memory. (566 kb). By Bernard
Parisse.
EQSTK v 9.1- EQSTK
provides an alternative to the built-in stack displayer,
with the main advantages of being capable of displaying
equations in similar form as the built-in Equation
Writer. The display also can handle symbolic arrays in
the form they are defined in most symbolic math packages,
such as ALG48. Requires UFL library. By Claude-Nicolas Fiechter & Mika Heiskanen.
AIO48 v 2.2- AIO48
provides a symbolic object viewer and a simple
writer/editor for symbolic matrices and vectors
(represented by lists of symbolics), as handled for
instance by the ALG48 library. EQSTK is required to run
the object viewer. The matrix writer/editor, however, can
be run even if you don't have EQSTK on your calculator.
Requires UFL library. By Claude-Nicolas Fiechter.
QPI v 4.3 - QPI
approximates any floating point numbers by a rational
number, square root, multiple of PI, exponential or a
logarithm depending on which approximation seems best. By
Mika Heiskanen.
SDIST v 0.1
- Collection of probability and statistical
distributions: 'Inverse' UTPx commands. Enhanced UPTx
commands (not limited to d.o.f < 500). Binomial,
Poisson and Hypergeometric distributions. By Sune
Bredahl.
Stat48 v 2.1 -
STAT48 does most hypothesis tests & confidence
intervals which are commonly performed in an Elementary
Statistics Course. By Scott Guth. SOLVESYS 4.03 -
SOLVESYS is graphical environment for solving systems of
nonlinear equations and nonlinear least squares problems.
By Sune Bredahl.
ITable v 7.0 -
Function Table Generator for the HP48. By Jack Levy.
Utilities
UFL v 1.0.2- The Universal Font Library
provides a centralized location for common fonts between
programs. By Andre Schoorl.
Java v 3.6a-
Java is a library that displays an improved 5 level
stack. It combines the best of SOL, HPSauce, EQStk, and
others. Plus there are several new features and
improvements. The intent of Java is to provide a more
useful and faster stack environment for HP48 calculators.
Requires UFL library. By Richard Steventon, Andre
Schoorl, and Will Laughlin.
TED v 3.2 - TED is a
limited version of the Jazz v5.9 ED editor. The editor
has been modifed to suit better the needs of regular HP48
users. It is intended for general object and text
editing. Requires UFL library. By Mika Heiskanen.
Organizer v 1.1-
Organizer is a library designed to act as a Personal
Information Manager, or PIM. Organizer provides the
following capabilities: Calendar, Appointments, Annual
Events, FIND function, Support for any external database,
Support for any external editor, Stack
importing/exporting. Complete hooks into the Scribe
database to use Scribe as a TODO manager and
Phone/Address database. Requires UFL library. By
Jack Levy. Scribe v 1.0 -
Scribe is a Database or Rolodex designed to hold a large
amount of information in such a manner that it is easy to
retrieve, quick to find, and transparent in usage.
Includes BZ Compressor. By Jack Levy.
BZ Compressor v 1.2 - The
standard HP48 object packer/unpacker. By Mika Heiskanen.
Interfaces
I2C Interface for the
HP48 Calculator- This
interface enables the HP48 to monitor and control
real-world systems. Contains full schematics of the
interface and sample I2C devices, a source listing for
the PIC microcontroller program, and examples of its use
(demonstration boards for the 8-bit I/O port and the
4-channel analogue to digital converter and a 2-channel
mains on/off switch). It is possible to incorporate the
standard Philips chips into a more complex project and
thus build a custom device that is controlled by the I2C
bus. (542 kb). By A. R. Duell.
Remote34bg - A
general remote control program. Supports Sony, Panasonic,
Technics, Pioneer, JVC, Philips, Teac, Yamaha, Onkyo,
Nec, Denon, Finlux, Grundig, Sharp and Kenwood. Can learn
new remotes that are not supported. By Bjorn Gahm.
Astronomy EPHE v 1.20
- EPHE can compute ephemeris of the Sun, Planets, the
Moon, Stars, Messier Objects, Comets, Asteroids. This
software is also able to compute rising, setting and
meridian crossing times, of a given object. By Jean
Philippe Eimer. Tyko v 3.1- This
program calculates the positions to the Sun, Moon and
planets and shows their orbit around the Sun. It gives
also the specific data to the celestial body. By Kati Sinenmaa.
ECLIPSE v 1.1-
Calculates and animates solar and lunar eclipses. By
Arnold Moy.

versatile facility for getting NMEA data packets,
individual sentences, and specific parts of sentences,
and are intended for use in applications such as track
loggers, flight computers and such. Additional commands
are provided to return position, altitude, time, and
speed. By Jason Grant.
