Hill was in the Army 1960 to 1962. He then worked with electrical companies that moved him all around the southeast, living in Orlando, Robertsdale, Columbus, Ga., Decatur, AL, New Orleans, then to Harlem, GA (near Augusta) in 1966. He has moved from High Voltage work to Inside Wireman, or Low Voltage Electrician.
Hill and his wife, Susie, live in Harlem, GA with their two children, Melinda Faye and Donald Ray.
