Researching her death, I contacted her brother Carl. He said that she went to the Mayo Clinic regarding a disease affecting the bones and something to do with protein. She was to start chemo but died before starting. She died Dec. 19, 1998 and is buried at St. Mark's Lutheran Church cemetery just east of Elberta.
