Peggy married Ray Jacobs in December 1960, and moved to Oxford, Mississippi where they both attended the University of Mississippi. After his graduation, they moved to Mobile and lived there for three years. From there, they moved to Macon, Georgia for two years and have been in Atlanta since then. Ray is in management with J.C. Penney Co.
Peggy and Ray had two children, Michel and Suzanne.
Peggy was diagnosed with CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) in March of 1997 and received treatments off and on until she died on October 2, 1999. Peggy fell and died of a blood clot to the brain.
I retired from JCPenney Catalog in February of 1996 and fortunately was available to take care of Peggy. We had bought four lots in Magnolia Springs and was planning to build a home there before Peggy died.
I sold the home in Atlanta but I still own the place in Magnolia. I moved to Palm Harbor, Florida (just north of Tampa) and have a Villa on Innsbrook's Lost Oaks Golf Course where I play golf a couple of times each week.
