Margaret married George Schaff in July 1959. They lived in Elberta for about four years, then they bought a farm near Lillian on Highway 98. They are still active in the farming business. In 1977, they moved into their new home at the same location.
Margaret and George have four children: Eva, Evelyn, Georgette, and Geoffrey.
Through the years, she has been active at one time or another in the 4H, Girl Scouts, and Little League programs.
