The Story

Prologue
The eighth grade class was taking
their Spanish proficiency test that their various Spanish teachers had been
trying to prepare them for all year long.
“This is so boring,” exclaimed Tom, unable to hold it in.
“Thomas! I really need you to be
quiet!” replied Miss Chappell, their current Spanish teacher.
“All right, all right,” said Tom.
But then he whispered to himself, “I wish something exciting would happen…”
Unknown to Tom at the time, this
wish would soon come true in a strange way for him and many of his classmates.
Chapter One:
“Chaos Out-of-Control”
“Eggman! Didn’t you learn your
lesson the last twenty-something
times?!” exclaimed the fox named Miles Prower. Miles is called “Tails” by
everyone because of his twin tails he can spin like a propeller to fly around.
“I can’t believe that you’ve stolen the Chaos Emeralds again!”
“Haven’t you realized that none of
your plans ever work, Julius?” said Sir Charles Hedgehog. Sir Charles, known as
Uncle Chuck to friends and family, had been “robiticized”,
or turned from flesh-and-blood into a mindless robot by the evil scientist
Robotnik. He had recently gained his free will back but still longed to the
flesh-and-blood again.
The Chaos Emeralds were large jewels that held
immense power. Dr. Ivo Robotnik, previously known as
Julian and now called “Eggman” by some because of his wide stomach, has often
tried to harness the power of these diamonds for his own evil purposes.
“Why don’t you believe it, you two-tailed freak?”
the evil scientist shot back. “I’ve got nothing better to do all day long
besides picking on my nephew Snivley and that gets boring fast. I’ve got to
keep myself occupied or I’ll get out of shape!”
“Sorry to break it to ya, ‘Ro-butt-nik,’ but you’ll
always be out of shape,” said Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic is famous for thwarting
each and every one of Robotnik’s evil plans. “You should be using those Chaos
Emeralds to warp yourself some exercise videos instead of trying to travel to
other planets to expand your ‘Eggman Empire’.”
One of the powers of the Chaos
Emeralds is to warp yourself from one point in space to another in a
split-second. This power is called “Chaos Control.” Before this time, however,
only one Chaos Emerald at a time had been used this way, so it is unknown what
combining them will do. Robotnik hopes that they will allow him to travel to
other dimensions for him to take over with his robot servants.
“That’s it! You’ll be sorry you ever insulted me, you insolent hedgehog!,” screamed the mad scientist. “These Super Emeralds will take me to places that I’ve never imagined! Bwahahahahaha! Now stand back as I activate this machine’s
Emerald-harnessing power.”
“Oh no!” exclaimed Tails. “If he has
the Super Emeralds, then he can travel to other dimensions! Sonic, we’ve got to stop him!”
“I’m on it, Little Guy. You and
Uncle Chuck try to deactivate this machine using that console over there while
Knux and I take care of Eggy,” Sonic replied. “Ready, Knux?”
“Ready as I’ll ever be,” replied the
red echidna famous for his super-sharp knuckles. This dreadlocked echidna,
appropriately named Knuckles, has to ability to glide by spreading his
dreadlocks out behind him and catching the wind. He now used this ability to
glide over Robotnik’s robot guards.
“Oh, no you don’t!” said Eggman as
he used his computer console to erect an electrical force field around himself.
“Try getting through that and you’ll be fried, echidna!”
As Knuckles distracted Robotnik,
Sonic started charging his rolling Spin Dash move. Sonic aimed toward
Robotnik’s Emerald machine and let himself start accelerating.
“No, hedgehog!” yelled Robotnik as
he spotted Sonic rolling so quickly along the ground that he was almost
floating. But Sonic smashed clear through the machine to the other side.
Suddenly, a blinding white light came out of the holes Sonic had made and
engulfed all of them.
“It’s…Cha-os…Out-Of-Con-tro…” Knuckles was able to say as they were all sucked up by the
light.

“I’m worried, Cheese,” Cream the
Rabbit said to her small friend. “What’s taking them so long?”
“Aye-oh-oh,” replied Cheese, who
lacked the ability to speak words. Cheese was a mysterious creature whom Cream
had befriended early in her life and they had been together since. Cheese was
of a mysterious race called the “Chao” that are able to have amazing abilities,
but always seem to have the mind of a child of about three Earth-years old.
Cheese has the ability to float around at will.
Cream thought for a minute. Where
were Tails and Sonic and the others? They had been in Eggman’s
fortress for a while now.
“I know!” Cream suddenly said, surprising Cheese.
“Cheese, you can go inside and try to find Tails and the others and maybe help
them. I’ll run back to Knothole to try and get some backup. Princess Sally will
want to know what’s going on anyway.”
“Aye,” Cheese agreed.
“Alright then, be careful in there! See you in a
flash, as Sonic would say!” Cheese yelled over her shoulder as she started the
trek back to
“Aye-aye!” Cheese yelled back as he waved. Then the
small Chao looked up at the large building, trying to find some way to get
inside. Spotting an open window, Cheese flew through, straight into a blinding
white light.
