| Kagome, a 15-year-old girl who lives at her ancient family shrine in Japan, falls through the well in the shrine and is transported into Feudal-Age Japan. She is believed to be a reincarnation of the High Priestess Kikyo who died 50 years ago. Surronded by monsters and magic, Kagome teams up with Inuyasha, and eventually others, (Sango, Miroku, Shippo) to find all of the missing shards of the Shikon Jewel, an extremely magical jem that could cause disaster if it fell into the wrong hands.
