A Look At The Word Mundane. Presented By Tolchock33
Let us look at the word "Mundane." Others may disagree, but I speak from the heart and the spirit. The use of the word signifies the non magickal aspects of ones life. Which to me there are none. Everything is magickal, be it good, bad, beautiful or ugly. They are all just different polarities of the same thing. The word Mundane can be taken as we take many of the great Hermetic axioms and pardoxes. I quote The Kybalion, "Everything is Dual; everything has its poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; ALL TRUTHS ARE BUT HALF-TRUTHS; all paradoxes may be reconciled." As you see by what I have put in capital letters...sorry if anyone thought I was shouting...all truths are but half-truths. Everything is and isn't at the same time. I've found in my years that ppl use the word mundane to signify the side of life that has no spirituality to them. Which is sad because spirituality manifests in everything around us and everything within us. I quote The Kybalion again, "The half-wise, recognizing the comparative unreality of the Universe, imagine that they can defy its Laws--such are vain and presumptuous fools, and they are broken against the rocks and torn asunder by the elements by reasons of their folly. The truly wise, knowing the nature of the Universe, use Law against Laws; the higher against the lower; and by the Art of Alchemy transmute that which is undesirable into that which is worthy, and thus triumph. Transmutation, not presumtuous denial, is the weapon of the Master." ~The Divine Paradox; The Kybalion.~ Now what this is saying to me is that alot of ppl are set in the fact that not all things are magickal or spiritual. So they go about life in a haphazard routine. They take the everyday goings on in their lives with a grain of salt in the scheme of the greater scope of the the Universal ways. Many ppl dream of unreal goals and spend too much time and energy seeking these goals, which is what a "Mundane" person would do, and they damage themselves spiritually, emotionally and physically in the process. Now one that holds the key and knowledge of Mental Alchemy and Mental Transmutation can rise above these "Mundane" pains of human existance and walk in a higher rate of vibration. Thus walking in a higher plane of spirituality. I'm sorry if I strayed off the subject, but it all seems relevant to me. If anyone wishes me to further clarify what I'm saying please ask.
